Cervo is a place of outstanding beuty, a real architectural jewel suspending between past and present, with ancient staircases and narrow alleys which suddenly open on the amazing square and on the baroque church called S. Giovanni Battista. It’s like a terrace overlooking the sea, and every summer it turns into a stage for the most known chamber music festival.
While you’re walking through the elegant seafront, in the shadows of the local palm trees, you are fascinated by luxurious villas and their wonderful gardens, and you’re also impressed by the kingly atmosphere created by the ancient hotels and elegant restaurants. And after the sunset you can’t resist the seduction and the magic of the nights in this place. Moreover, here, everyone can be the protagonist of different challenges, offered by the Casino born in the 1905.
As soon as you reach Montecarlo, you can immediately understand its class and its style, and the most important witness of these aspects is the “Palazzo del Principe”. Visiting it it’s like a journey in the past, and the square it looks out on, gives you an unforgettable view of the port. The luxury is also given by the Casino, made by white marble and decorated with red and gold colors, and it’s situated in a japanese garden only with stones, water and wonderful fat plants.
Nice is considered the capital of the Costa Azzurra for its beauty and its artistic and natural riches. The city has different faces: you can visit the pomp of the Promenade des Anglais, or the little streets of the Ancient City, full of bars open until nightfall. But don’t forget the crystal clear sea and its beaches.
THE AQUARIUM IN GENOA
The Aquarium in Genoa is the biggest water park in Europe, with 61 fish tanks which reproduce the marine environments of the whole world. It’s an emotional trip and an amazing experience for children and adults.
WATER PARK “LE CARAVELLE”
Between Ceriale and Albenga there is one of the most beautiful water park in Italy, absorbed by the gorgeous vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub. It’s really exciting for its water slides.
THE VALLEY OF THE OLIVE TREES
Liguria is also famous for its wine and its oil. This part of Liguria is featured by medieval hamlet, scent of basil and scent of rosemary, and you can find it in the hinterland of Diano Marina, walking to Dolcedo or Villa Faraldi.
You can spend one of your days at sea, on board the ship “Corsara”, for the whale watching. This ship departs from Porto Maurizio (Imperia), but you can also depart from Andora.
Bussana Vecchia is an ancient and medieval village. It was abandoned after the terrible earthquake in the 1887, and it was inhabited again at the end of the 1950 by Italian and foreign artists, who rebuild the edifices. Nowadays is a real “Artists’ village”, with many craft workshops.
Valloria is a little ancient hamlet situated near by Imperia. In this village the doors of the houses and cellars are painted by internationally renowned artists and by young local artists. You can’t refuse to visit this medieval masterpiece.
Albenga is 20 minutes far from the camping, and it’s one of the most famous places in Liguria. It hosts tourist during the whole year, thanks also to its beaches and its crystal clear sea.
Alassio is the most exclusive place of the Riviera. You can go shopping through the famous “budello”, an ancient way full of shops. Alassio is 13 km far from the camping.
Dolceacqua is one hour far from the camping, and it’s a medieval hamlet featured by the humpback bridge and by the ancient Doria’s castle. During the summer there are many events, for example the summer carnival in August.
THE CAVES IN TOIRANO
This caves are situated 33 km far from the camping, and they are famous for their prehistoric finds (for example, the graveyard of the bears and the tracks of the prehistoric men).
